WHAT’S THE JOB? COMMERCIAL MANAGER

WHO’S THE EMPLOYER? This Company is a well respected and equally well regarded independent feed compounder. Due to natural expansion they are now looking for a forward thinking and commercially minded individual who can help push the business forward.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE?

This is a role which would be ideal for an individual looking for the “next step up”. Our client is looking for someone who can put together and implement a strategy to retain and grow their feed business.

This will include working with wholesalers, other compounders and, of course, farm sales. You will need to be able to form strong, long term relationships with these customers and understand their needs as well as those of our client.

As important is the ability to understand and work alongside the departments within the business itself, suiting someone who is not scared to get involved and take on board the process of feed production and delivery.

WHAT QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

Business development experience in B2B or B2C sales either in FMCG, machinery or animal feed industry

Strong commercial awareness and strategy implementation.

Proven track record of achieving targets

Great customer service and an ability to think and adapt quickly

Proven ability to manage a high and varied workload through strong planning and organisational skills

Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills

Able to work flexibly to achieve the overall aims of the business

Personal Drive and Effectiveness; positive, ‘can-do’ mentality, ability to find ways round issues/challenges and willing to take advantage of all the available resources in order to accomplish objectives

Professional Behaviour; possession of professional skills and technical capabilities, demonstrating integrity and diplomacy
