WHAT’S THE JOB? GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

WHO’S THE EMPLOYER? A UK OEM of long standing, with a global presence in the agricultural equipment and related sectors. The Company manufactures and distributes specialist equipment and is a recognised market leader in their field of expertise.

WHERE IS THE ROLE LOCATED? UK (Central or East), with international travel

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? With ownership of and responsibility for all global sales activity, the role is highly varied and predicated on a committed and energetic approach to developing business in various regions and target markets.

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES DO I NEED?

  • You’ll have proven business development credentials within the agricultural machinery sector
  • Your career background should show progression and achievements either within retail or B2B sales
  • You’re a proven self-starter, able to function autonomously, with the intelligence, insight and organisational ability to contribute to and deliver a business plan and schedule
  • Results-oriented, you take ownership of and demonstrate accountability for your activity
  • You’ll have a good all-round standard of IT literacy, including use of CRM and other business support resources
  • A degree or qualification in agricultural engineering or agricultural business management would be preferred but not essential, as would foreign language skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions, as well as the ability to engage with customers in other time zones remotely
  • Previous experience of working with international distributors
  • You should reside in Central or Eastern England, within easy commutable distance of a major airport, be comfortable with regular travel and possess a clean UK driving licence
