WHERE IS THE ROLE LOCATED? Central / Eastern England (home-based with regular UK travel)
TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? Adding additional value to the Company’s technology expertise and resources, this is a mobile and hands-on role providing on site and remote advice, trouble shooting and technical support to the advanced technology systems which are key features of the Company’s high-performance machinery. The role is semi-autonomous, reporting to the National Service Manager, and involves regular customer visits along with travel to the Company’s headquarters in the East of England.
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES DO I NEED?
- Your training and background are as an agricultural engineer or technician, with a recognised qualification from a relevant institution
- Ideally your technical expertise includes or has specialised in advanced agricultural technologies – GPS / ISOBUS / CANbus / telematics
- Beyond your technical know-how, you should have a good all-round appreciation of the various technology products and systems available in the market and be able to provide some advice and guidance to customers where required
- Familiarity with agricultural machinery is key, you’ll be at home in the tractor cab and be au fait with modern technology and control systems focused on arable crop production
- You must have good all-round communication and customer service skills, be able to manage customer expectations and possess a good standard of IT literacy
- You’re a natural problem soler, resourceful and solution-based in your approach to technical product support
- You’re comfortable with regular travel throughout the UK and nights away from home, ideally live in the East of England or Central England, and possess a clean UK driving licence
