Location: UAE
As the Senior Manager of the Broiler Complex, you will oversee all aspects of the broiler farming operations, leading a state-of-the-art greenfield facility equipped with the latest automated systems. Your primary responsibility will be to build and lead a management team that can successfully manage the slaughter of up to 180,000 birds per week. This role is critical in achieving high performance and operational excellence across all broiler activities, ensuring the production of fresh, branded chicken for the UAE market.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of live broiler production, implementing strategic plans that ensure optimal productivity, cost-efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.
Develop policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of biosecurity, safety, and hygiene are met.
Lead staff training programs to impart knowledge of best practices and ensure the entire team adheres to defined procedures and standards.
Manage resources effectively to ensure cost-effective production in line with budgetary requirements.
Operational
Manage all stages of broiler production, from placements to transportation to the slaughterhouse.
Coordinate production schedules, including placements, vaccinations, feeding, and weighing.
Interact with key departments such as Hatchery, Feed Mill, and Operations to ensure smooth integration of services.
Maintain relationships with broiler producers and ensure that their needs are met with goods and services.
Oversee live production to meet processing requirements while adhering to performance parameters, including hygiene audits and safety standards.
People Management
Supervise all broiler staff and support personnel, ensuring optimal manpower allocation and performance.
Provide ongoing performance management and recommend training programs to enhance the team’s productivity and effectiveness.
Foster a positive working environment and lead the team in a way that aligns with the company’s values and strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an Agricultural field or equivalent.
5-10 years of extensive experience in live broiler production in a supervisory role.
Skills
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
Expertise in broiler production, from health and biosecurity to operational efficiencies.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work across departments and with external partners.
