Role Overview: As the Commercial General Manager for Post Harvest to Sales, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing the commercial aspects of our agricultural operations, focusing on the post-harvest phase through to sales and distribution. You will drive strategies to maximize the value chain, ensuring that our produce reaches markets efficiently and profitably while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the company's mission and objectives.
- Post-Harvest Management: Oversee and optimize post-harvest processes, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and packaging of agricultural produce.
- Sales and Distribution: Lead sales initiatives, identify market opportunities, and establish strong distribution networks domestically and internationally.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to drive informed decision-making.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, pricing strategies, and financial forecasting related to commercial operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (production, R&D, logistics) to ensure seamless integration of post-harvest activities with other departments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing agricultural produce, packaging, and distribution.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 20 years in a senior commercial role within the agriculture or agribusiness sector, with a proven track record of driving sales and optimizing post-harvest processes.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse market trends, financial data, and operational metrics to make strategic decisions.
- Strategic Thinker: Visionary thinking and the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and maybe Arabic, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
