TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? Accountable for all business activity across a large and profitable territory, the role is focused on maintaining and developing strong working relationships with a comprehensive dealer network (comprising some of the largest and most well-known dealer groups in the UK) and ensuring that the brand and its products are represented to a high professional standard to all times. The role is highly varied and includes practical demonstrations of equipment, participation at dealer events, local and national exhibitions, sales and product training, strategic dealer sales meetings, business planning, forecasting and proactive business prospecting, ensuring enquiries and sales leads are followed up in a timely fashion.
WHAT QUALITIES DO I NEED?
- You’ll have an excellent sales pedigree in the agricultural machinery sector, ideally with experience in the OEM sector as well as the retail network
- You’re commercially astute, switched on to new business opportunities and maximising the sales potential of the territory and have evidence of this in your current or previous roles
- You’ll have a good understanding of livestock farming practices
- Your well-developed communication skills, ability to be persuasive and close a deal, form profitable and effective relationships with dealer salespeople, livestock farming professionals and industry stakeholders at all levels will ensure commercial objectives are met and exceeded
- You follow a solution-based approach to customer enquiries underpinned by a can-do attitude to winning business
- You’ll be familiar with operating tractors and agricultural machinery in order to carry out successful on-farm demonstrations
- A healthy standard of IT literacy is required, including MS Office applications and CRM
- Well organised, and with good planning skills, you can produce business plans, budgets and forecasts
- Residing in or relocating to the South of the UK / West Midlands, you’ll have a clean driving licence and be comfortable with regular travel (occasionally overseas)
