WHAT IS THE COMPANY? The role is part of a leading Poultry company that focuses on poultry production. The Farm Manager will work closely with the Area Manager to ensure all production objectives are met.

Salary: Competitive plus 3 bed accommodation
Holidays: 24 days, plus Bank Holidays and additional days at Christmas and New Year (pro-rated).

WHAT IS THE JOB? As the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the farm, ensuring that production targets are met through effective leadership, biosecurity, cost control, and team development.
WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Farm Management & Production
- Hands-on management, spending 80% of time in production sheds.
- Overseeing daily operations to meet production objectives.
- Managing team performance, including evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Leading team meetings and authorizing holiday requests.
- Biosecurity, Welfare & Health & Safety
- Ensuring compliance with biosecurity, welfare, and health & safety standards.
- Stock & Cost Management
- Ordering supplies and controlling costs.
- Continuous Improvement & Development
- Driving efficiencies and innovation to improve production.
- Leading team development and training.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Managing cost control and implementing company policies.
WHAT SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring teams.
- Ability to prioritize in alignment with business needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of poultry production.
- Minimum two years’ management experience in a similar environment.
