TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE Focused on managing and developing the Company’s overall aftersales strategy via its established dealer partners, the role will coordinate the day-to-day activities of a field-based technical product support team and office-based parts team. Adding further value to the manufacturer-dealer relationship, other key responsibilities will focus on the management of aftersales training requirements, spare parts sales and marketing, service, warranty and goodwill procedures. The role requires proactive, decision-making expertise, ability to manage remote teams and an excellent understanding of how to optimise the dealer relationship, devising additional tools and systems to ensure the end user experience is consistently first class. Office-based with travel, the role reports to the UK Managing Director and will provide regular reports on the Company’s aftersales performance to senior leaders.
WHAT QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
- From a technical or engineering background within the agricultural machinery sector, you’ll have progressed your career through positions of increasing responsibility based on strong personal drive and ambition
- Team oriented, you’ll be experienced in managing high-performing teams, with a well-developed, professional and positive managerial style
- Experience of working with agricultural machinery dealers and an in-depth understanding of the manufacturer-dealer aftersales relationship is a key requirement
- You’ll have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude to problem solving and be decisive in reacting to time sensitive situations
- You’ll have excellent IT skills including MS Office and CRM systems, be familiar with online technical, parts and warranty systems and be motivated by providing high standards of customer service through robust, easy to use aftersales systems
- You uphold high professional standards, which are reflected in the culture you enthuse in your colleagues; you understand the importance of customer satisfaction and can react to escalated customer issues in a timely manner
- A full UK driving licence is required, you’re comfortable with regular travel (occasionally overseas) and reside in or be prepared to relocate to the East of England
