  • Eastern Europe / West Asia

Competitive Salary | International Opportunity | Large-Scale Commercial Agriculture

An established and rapidly expanding agricultural enterprise is seeking an experienced Cotton Agronomist to support and optimise large-scale cotton production operations across a significant irrigated farming business in the Central Asia and Caucasus region.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the region's most progressive agricultural organisations, operating extensive cropping systems and investing heavily in modern agronomic practices, technology, sustainability, and productivity improvement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing agronomic strategies, improving yields, managing crop health, and supporting operational teams to achieve world-class production standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement agronomic programmes for commercial cotton production.
    • Monitor crop establishment, growth, development, and harvest performance.
    • Provide expert recommendations on nutrition, irrigation, pest, weed, and disease management.
    • Analyse field performance data and identify opportunities for yield enhancement.
    • Support the adoption of modern precision agriculture and crop monitoring technologies.
    • Work closely with farm management teams to ensure agronomic plans are executed effectively.
    • Conduct regular field inspections and crop assessments.
    • Assist in budgeting, input planning, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with machinery, irrigation, and operational teams to optimise crop performance.
    • Stay informed of global cotton production trends, technologies, and best practices.

    Candidate Profile

    • Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
    • Proven experience in commercial cotton production.
    • Strong technical knowledge of cotton agronomy, irrigation management, plant nutrition, and crop protection.
    • Experience working within large-scale farming operations.
    • Ability to interpret agronomic data and convert findings into practical recommendations.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Comfortable working within an international and multicultural environment.
    • Fluent English required; additional languages would be advantageous.

    The Opportunity

This position offers the chance to become part of a well-funded and highly ambitious agricultural business that is committed to continuous improvement and long-term growth. The organisation operates substantial farming assets and is focused on implementing modern production systems to achieve exceptional operational and agronomic performance.

A competitive remuneration package, accommodation support, and international relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate.
